Create a step-by-step guide


Step 1: Logging In to Plesk for the First Time

You will receive a service welcome email that consist server login credential. Referring to the credential, you can log in to Plesk by visiting the following URL:

https://<Plesk server's address>:8443

Step 2: Create Your First Website

To set up a first website, you need to follow these steps:

  • Register a domain name.
  • Add a domain in Plesk.
  • Deploy a website content with below 2 simple options.

Option A : Upload Content through FTP and File Manager.

Option B : Install an application through pre-build application installer.

Step 3: Create a Database

To create a database and a database user:

Go to Databases > Add Database.

Step 4: Create a Mail Account

To create a mail account, go to Mail > Create Email Address.

Step 5: Back Up Your Website

With this function, you can back up your website. The backup data will utilize server's disk space. It is recommend to subscribe our R1soft Off server backup for your VPS and Server.

To access the backup function, do the following:

- go to Backup Manager > Back Up.

Step 6: Pointing Your Domain to server

We provide FREE DNS zone that you can add domain name via Client Area Portal and manage domain DNS zone records ( For example, A, MX, CNAME and TXT record. ). Click this >>> link <<< to learn about the guide.

Step 7: Activating free SSL for your domain name

Securing your website with free basic SSL ( Let's Encrypt ) from function SSL/TLS Certificates. Do ensure your domain resolves or points to server IP as a pre-requisition before installing free SSL for your Domain Name.

Step 8: Change Your Password and Log Out

We recommend you to reset Plesk admin user login at the first login.

To change it, hover your mouse pointer over your user name located at the top of the page and click Edit Profile. Click Log out to log out from the administrative portal.
