How to configure an email account on an Android Smartphone 


1. Find the email icon or mail application on your smartphone.





2. Next, input your email address and password, then choose "Manual Setup".





3. The Mail Option will allow configuration with POP3, IMAP, or Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync. 

    Choose the POP3 option..





4. For the incoming server settings, refer to the screenshot below as a guide.

Username: user@domain.com (replace with your email address).

Password : your email password 


NON-SSL 

 

Incoming mail server POP: mail.yourdomain.com


Incoming POP : 110

 

 

(substitute your OWN domain name for yourdomain)

 

 

SSL


Incoming mail server POP: serverhostname.com


Incoming POP : 995

 

 

 

(serverhostname refers to the name of the server that is hosting your website.

 

The server hostname can be found in your web hosting control panel under the server 

 

information section.)


Then click Next.




5. For the outgoing server settings, refer to the screenshot below as a guide.


Username: user@domain.com (replace with your email address).

Password : your email password 


NON-SSL 

 

 Outgoing mail server SMTP : mail.yourdomain.com


 Outgoing for POP : 587

 

(substitute your OWN domain name for yourdomain)

 

 

SSL

 Outgoing mail server SMTP : serverhostname.com


 Outgoing for POP : 465

 

 

(serverhostname refers to the name of the server that is hosting your website.

 

The server hostname can be found in your web hosting control panel under the server 

 

information section.)


Then click Next.




6. For account options, you may select your preferred settings or leave them as default.

7. The final step is to enter your name, which will be displayed in the emails you send. Then, click "Done" to finish the setup.
