This article will guide you on how to display the Chinese character in Smartermail

1) Login to your Smartermail login page

2) Proceed to Settings -> Account Settings -> Compose Tab

3) Then choose on Chinese Simplified (GB18030) at the Text Encoding options

4) Final step will be in saving it
