Important: Please be aware that Office 365 has been renamed to Microsoft 365, but the features remain unchanged.
Adding a domain
Access the Microsoft 365 admin center
1. In the left menu, select Setup, then click on Domains.
2. Click on Add domain.
3. Input the name of the domain you'd like to add, then click Next.
4. Select how you prefer to verify ownership of the domain.
a. You can request an email to be sent to the registered contact for the domain containing a verification code. If you do not recognize or cannot access the recorded email, you may opt for option b.
b. You can utilize a TXT or MX record to validate your domain. Choose this option and click Next to receive instructions on adding this DNS record to your registrar's site. It may take up to 30 minutes to verify after adding the record.
5. Decide how you would like to implement the necessary DNS changes for Microsoft to use your domain.
a. Select Add the DNS records for me if you want Microsoft to automatically manage your DNS settings.
If you opted to add the DNS records manually, click Next and you'll be directed to a page listing all the records needed to configure your domain on your registrar's website.

6. Click Finish - you've completed the process!
